The Contaminants That Propur ProOne G2.0 Filter Element Removes
This is what is impressive about the Propur.
An independent lab tested and showed the following result that the filter removes all or almost all:
- volatile and semi-volatile organic contaminants
- pesticides
- heavy metals
- disinfectants
- inorganic non-metallic contaminants (including fluoride, chlorine, and chloramine)
- bacteria and viruses
- herbicides
- microplastics – very small pieces of plastic that pollute the environment
- microcystins – a class of toxins produced by certain freshwater blue-green algae
- radiological contaminants
- blue-green algae (parasites)
- pharmaceuticals
It is tested that it removes 100% of lead. – That’s very impressive!
Well, the filter reduces calcium about 81%, but it does not remove magnesium and only 2.5% of potassium.

Disadvantages
Pro Pur Countertop Water Filter System With Promax
Single Point Filtration
The countertop water filter only filters the water that flows through the tap they are installed on
Aesthetic Considerations
The filter sits on the kitchen sink.
Some might not like it.
They might prefer an under-sink filter instead.
Size
Bigger in size thus requires more space.
Expensive
Not that affordable.
Pro Pur Under Counter Water Filter System With Promax
You Must Check If a Tap Is Provided
Since the water comes from the external tap, if you do not get a tap provided with it you have to but it separately.
You cannot use the kitchen tap.
This may cause extra costs.
Fixed Setting
It only filters the water at the water outlet where it was installed.
If you need filtered water in the shower, then you have to install there separately.
This might cost extra.
Maintenance
You cannot keep the sink underneath wet.
You have to make sure that it is dry.
Must avoid the dirt or water leakage from the sink.
If Not Installed Properly
If it is not installed properly, issues like wastage of water drain may cause problems in the purifier.
So you must call a technician to connect the drainpipe of the water purifier to the sink drain pipe.
Again, you must make sure that the faucet hole is provided or else you have to take the burden of creating an alternate hole during installation.
Pro Pur Traveler
Might Get Rust
Although it’s supposed to be stainless steel, the lid might begin to get rust after a few months.
Filter Process Is Slow
Some might find the filter slow.
Some say it does not drain the water completely.
Pro Pur Nomad
Leaked Filter
The filter might get leaked after using it for a few months.
Water Might Have Some Odor
The water might not taste so good after some use.
Although these complaints are infrequent.
